East Sussex National opened in 1990 followed by the Clubhouse complex in 1992 and was immediately regarded by many as one of the finest golf complexes in Europe.
There are two Championship Golf Courses. The East Course at East Sussex National is a stadium layout, designed for tournament play. The West Course meanders through stands of ancient oak, along quiet pools and streams, with Horsted Place Hotel a fitting centre piece.
The courses were specifically designed with major championship golf in mind and it wasn't long before the European Tour staged two major European Opens at the Club.
To compliment the complex, a new Hotel development is scheduled for completion in Spring 2006. The development will provide a 100 bedroom, four star Hotel, together with the provision of Banqueting and Conference facilities, plus a state of the art Health Suite.
